Quietfeed Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 8, 2026
What data Quietfeed collects
Quietfeed collects the hostnames of tabs you visit and the times you visit them (web history), limited to determining whether the active tab belongs to one of five supported platforms: Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Facebook. It also stores your own settings — which platforms have metric-hiding enabled, and, if you choose to set them, a daily time goal and a replacement-activity suggestion.
How this data is used
Where this data is stored
All data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage.local API. Nothing is transmitted to Quietfeed's developer or to any external server. There is no backend, and no account or sign-in is required to use the extension.
Third-party sharing
None. This data is never sold, shared, or transferred to any third party.
Data retention and deletion
Data remains in your browser's local storage until you clear it yourself, either by removing the extension or clearing your browser's extension storage. There is no remote copy to delete, since none is ever created.
